Biografia dell'artista

Hans Jörg Glattfelder was a Swiss artist born in Zurich in 1939. He studied law, art history, and archaeology at the University of Zurich from 1958 to 1961, but he became involved in the art world and decided to pursue a career as an artist. Glattfelder moved to Florence in 1963 and then to Milan in 1970. Glattfelder was a constructivist painter who explored the relationship between color, form, and space. He was influenced by the work of Kazimir Malevich and other artists associated with the Russian avant-garde. Glattfelder's paintings often featured geometric shapes and bold colors arranged in dynamic compositions. He also experimented with different materials and techniques, such as using sand and other textured materials to create tactile surfaces. Glattfelder's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world. He had solo exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Solothurn in Switzerland, the Galerie Denise René in Paris, and the Galleria del Naviglio in Milan, among others. His work was also included in group exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and the Venice Biennale. Glattfelder was not only a painter but also an author. He wrote several books on art, including "The Constructivist Space" and "The Art of the 20th Century." In addition to his artistic and literary pursuits, Glattfelder was also a professor of art history at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. Glattfelder's work is held in the collections of many museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and the Kunstmuseum Solothurn in Switzerland. He died in 2009, leaving behind a legacy of innovative and influential art.
